Year 7 end of year trip to Chester Zoo
Posted on: Friday, July 02 2010
We are planning to take Year 7 on an all day trip to Chester Zoo on Thursday 22nd July. We will leave school at 9.00 am and return at 3.20 pm, so could you please provide your child with a packed lunch. Those students on free school meals should indicate on the reply slip if they require a packed lunch and go into the canteen to order it the day before.
The trip will involve the students not being under the direct supervision of staff whilst in the Zoo, but they will be supervised by staff at all other times of the day. At the Zoo, the students will always know where I am based should they need attention.
The full amount for each child will be £14.00 to be paid by Friday 2nd July, please send your payment together with the reply slip to Student Reception. There are limited places so it will be a “first come, first served” basis.
The School is only able to offer such activities/visits if sufficient Parents/Carers are willing to make a voluntary contribution. There is no legal obligation for Parents/Carers to contribute and, whether a contribution is made or not, all students will be treated alike. However, in view of their value to students it is hoped that adequate support for such activities/visits is received. If the activity/visit does have to be cancelled due to insufficient support all monies paid will be refunded.
On any occasion if any Parent/Carer wishes to discuss possible assistance in meeting some or all of the proposed contribution, please contact Mr Hemming, Headteacher. All such enquiries will be dealt with in confidence.
If you know your son/daughter will not be in school on that day due to gong on the Arthog trip, a pre-arranged holiday or medical appointment, please indicate this on the reply slip. School based activities will be arranged for those students not wishing to attend the trip.
If you have any queries please contact me, also if your child has any medical conditions please tick the box below.
