New York trip

Thank you for your patience while we have formulated our trip to New York.  As always we have tried to look at the cost and keep it as low as possible.  We are please to say that the trip has all now been finalised and that the first deposits have been paid.   

We have attached a revised schedule for the week, which includes departure/return times for the flights.  The departure flight is mid afternoon on the Tuesday, which means a not to early start for Heathrow.  The coach will leave Thomas Adams at around 7.30 – 8.00 am and arrive at Heathrow at around 12 noon.  We will proceed through departures where your son/daughter will be able to shop in the excellent duty free and have lunch in one of the many restaurants, before boarding their BA flight for New York.

Our hotel is the centrally located Comfort Inn in the Chelsea district of Manhattan and includes continental breakfast.   From this venue we are able to access many of the attractions very comfortably. The hotel rooms are 3 or 4 bedded with hairdryer, safe, refrigerator and air conditioning. 

The return flight is over-night and will arrive back in the UK at 7.30 am on the Sunday morning.  We expect to be at Thomas Adams School, at about 12.30.

We have included in this pack payment card, passport and visa information.  If your son/daughter does not hold a full British passport could you please let us know as soon as possible as we may need to arrange a visa?  The passport needs to be valid for 60 days from date of entry otherwise US customs could refuse entry into the country.  Could you please also send in a photocopy of your son/daughters passport, showing their full details as soon as possible?

In order to keep the costs of meals etc down we will be holding a number of fund raising events next term which we hope you will strongly support.  Information on these events will be sent out in September.
