National Angling Championships

We have been invited to enter a team in the National Angling Championships on Wednesday 21st July. The competition will take place at Hallcroft Fishery and Caravan Park, Retford, Nottinghamshire. The draw will take place at 8.30am, fishing will start at 10.30am and concluding at 2.30pm.
Transport has been arranged and because of the distance we will have to leave school at 6.15am to make sure we are at the fishery for the draw. Students will have to bring all their own equipment, bait, rod licence and wear appropriate clothing for a day’s fishing. They will also require a packed lunch. We should be back at school between 6pm and 7pm. If you have to collect your son/daughter I suggest they give you a call on the journey home confirming our arrival time.
As this is the National Championships and a prestigious event there will be photographers present from the national fishing press, so I will need permission for photographs of your son/daughter.
Karl Humphries and Adrian Bowers from “Get Hooked on Fishing” will be coming into school to talk through the rules of the match with the team and give them advice; they will also join us for the match.
