Subject Outline
All students have regular drama lessons in Years 7, 8 and 9, which are mainly
of a practical nature with regular 'in class' performance including scripted
work, improvisation devised work incorporating mime, fighting, costume, scenery
and props.
Benefits derived from drama include self and group discipline, confidence building
and communication skills.
The subject is very popular at GCSE level and the results have been excellent
in recent years. At Adams College we offer 'A' level Drama, always a popular
and successful choice with students.
The School puts on various drama productions over the year and all students
have the chance to either perform or help back stage.
We are excited that as part of the development of media within the School, Year
7 pupils now use media equipment in drama.
